Bruno Dayan

Photographer, Director

Bruno was born in London, England, and raised in France and Canada. He speaks fluent English, French, and Japanese.

Bruno studied Fine Arts and Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal where in his second year his short film "Vie D Eau" was selected at the Cannes International Film Festival. 

Bruno's photographic career began in Toronto where he rapidly became a top fashion photographer. He moved to Tokyo where he lived for the next eleven years, photographing and directing multiple videos for top Japanese musicians and celebrities. 

In 1998, Bruno moved to France where he found success creating imagery for top brands such as Louis Vuitton, Yves St Laurent, Dior, Moschino, Celine, Chantal Thomass, L'Oréal, Shiseido, Avon, Pantene, Schwarzkopf, L’Occitane, Escada, Omega, Absolut, and Swarovski… 

His editorial collaborations include Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Elle, Marie-Claire, Numéro, Tatler, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly… 

Bruno’s work was featured in Prestel's book on New Fashion Photography, and two Louis Vuitton retrospective books. His solo show «A Corps Perdu» in Paris at Elephant Paname Gallery drew critical acclaim, in addition to multiple group shows throughout his career.

After relocating to New York City, some of the biggest studios in the Entertainment industry have hired Bruno to create static and motion visual key-art for tentpole releases such as The Last of Us, Star Wars, House of Gucci, Sharper, Into the Woods, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, A Wrinkle in Time, The Greatest Showman, Cruella and more… 

Lately he wrote, directed, and produced a personal art film project called “WHISPERS”, part of the official selection and finalist at:

BLOW UP Chicago International Art House Film Festival, Moscow International Short Film Festival, Berlin Underground Film Festival, Miami Independent Film Festival, Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival, and was awarded at The Independent Shorts Awards Film Festival in Los Angeles.
